Technology That Has to Work on Monday

Hi, I’m Chi.

I started my career as a chartered engineer at Rolls-Royce, working on safety-critical aerospace systems, which is a polite way of saying I learned early that “roughly right” is not always an acceptable design principle.

That experience shaped how I think about technology. It should be reliable, understandable, and useful. It should help people make better decisions, not just create more dashboards, meetings, or acronyms.

Since then, I’ve moved through engineering, digital transformation, data, AI, and business systems, and now work in the housing sector, where technology has to meet the real world rather quickly.

This blog is where I write about data, digital change, AI, leadership, and the practical reality of getting things done inside organisations.

No hype. No sales pitch. Just useful thinking, a bit of experience, and the occasional lesson learned the hard way.
